Holly print with a red piped finish.
There is a version of December where you get to be the comfortable one. This is the set for it: a classic button-up collar, relaxed pants, and a holly print in deep green, teal and sage with red berries running all through it, edged in slim red piping down the placket and around the pocket.
Wear it while the tree gets decorated and the coffee goes cold. Wear it to the kitchen at midnight. And if your kid turns up in the coordinating print, that is less a coincidence than the whole idea.
